This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Shopper (“the App”), developed by Inverted Apps (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App on Android or iOS.
1. Summary
Your shopping lists, budgets, and related data are stored on your device. We do not require you to create an account. The App may show ads through Google AdMob and may use the camera or photo library when you scan a receipt.
2. Information we process
- Shopping data you enter. List names, items, quantities, prices, budgets, check-off status, and similar content you add. This stays on your device unless you back up or transfer your device yourself.
- Receipt images (optional). If you use receipt scan, images you choose from the camera or gallery are processed on your device to extract text. We do not operate a server that stores your receipt photos.
- Advertising identifiers and device data. When ads are shown, Google AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and interaction data as described in Google’s policies.
- Diagnostics. The operating system or ad SDKs may collect crash or performance data according to your device settings and those providers’ policies.
3. How we use information
- To provide shopping lists, recommendations, budgets, and related features
- To process receipt text when you choose to scan a receipt
- To show and measure advertisements via Google AdMob
- To improve reliability and fix issues
4. Data storage and sharing
Core app content is stored locally on your device. We do not sell your personal shopping list content. Information may be processed by third parties only as needed to run ads (Google AdMob) or as required by law.

5. Permissions

6. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Your choices
- You can delete lists and data inside the App
- You can uninstall the App to remove local app data from your device
- You can manage ad personalization in your device or Google account settings
- You can deny camera or photo access; receipt scan features may not work without them
8. International users
Ad and analytics partners may process data in other countries. Where that happens, it is governed by those partners’ policies and applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
